Cherai beach at cherai is a very beautiful and calm place situated between backwaters and the Arabian sea. It is on Vypeen island and easily accessible by ferry or by road from main land.
It is 18 kms away from Vypeen and 25 kms away form Ernakulam High court junction. It is thick coconut groves and chinees fishing nets on the waterfront gives an added attraction. Occasionally Dolphins are also seen here. Lots of tourists domestic and internationals are coming here. Most attracted time is at evening sunset.
